Become a Ministry Partner
If you would like to partner with me in ministry to people in Honduras, please continue reading to determine the areas in which you would like to be a ministry partner.
Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. -Philippians 1:4-5 (NLT)
Praying is the best thing you can do to help me on the journey to which God has called me. I need your prayers during good times and bad. There will be difficult times. Lest you think the difficult times are the only times when I need your prayers, remember that it is in the good times that we all have a tendency to look to ourselves instead of to God. I don’t ever want to do that, no matter what the circumstances. Please join me in prayer for God’s will to be done in me and through me.
Every step in the progress of missions is directly traceable to prayer. –A.T. Pierson
I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. -Romans 15:30 (NIV)

Most missionaries rely on the faithful giving of monthly financial partners to provide for the personal and ministry expenses of the missionary. So do I.
Become a Monthly Financial Partner
Contributions to missionaries can be tax-deductible or not deductible, depending on how they are made. If you make a tax-deductible contribution, the donation becomes taxable compensation to the missionary. If you make a non-deductible contribution directly to the missionary, the money is treated as a personal gift and is not taxable income to the missionary.
If it benefits you to deduct your contributions, please contribute through the Foundation for Missions. If you will not receive a tax benefit from your charitable contributions, please make your contributions directly to me.
Contributions Directly to Me
To make a non-deductible donation directly to me as a personal gift (that is not taxable to me, but not deductible for you), please send your gift to me through your PayPal account (Send money to a friend) or mail a check to me.
- My PayPal email address is star.ferdinand(at)gmail.com (replace (at) with the @ symbol)).
- Make checks payable to Star Ferdinand and mail to:
4430 Haymarket St
San Antonio, TX 78217
- If you have free online bill pay through your bank or credit union, you can send your donations by setting me up as a “payee” and schedule recurring contributions or make a one-time donation without having to write a paper check and mail it. I’ve done this many times myself, and it’s always worked out well. Use the same San Antonio address as above.
Contributions through Foundation for Missions
- If you would like to make a contribution by check, please make your check payable to Foundation for Missions and mail it to:
Foundation for Missions
PO Box 560233

Please include a note in the envelope with my name on it, but DO NOT write my name on the check. 100% of every check you send through Foundation for Missions will be deposited to my account. I will pay income tax on the amount, but the gift will be tax-deductible for you.
- If you have free online bill pay through your bank or credit union, you can send your donations by setting the Foundation up as a “payee” and schedule recurring contributions or make a one-time donation without having to write a paper check and mail it. Provide Clothes or Miscellaneous Items – If you would like to help provide clothing or other items for me, please let me know or check my Amazon Wishlist. I will update the list periodically as needs arise, particularly during the few weeks before the scheduled trip to Tegucigalpa of a friend or mission team who could deliver some items to me.
Buy from the Acts 2:42 Ministries Store – The Acts 2:42 Ministries International Store provides a quick and easy way for you to fulfill your needs or desires for books, CDs, DVDs, Kindle accessories, and almost everything else Amazon.com sells. When you buy, I receive a small referral fee. If you buy from Amazon, please start going to the Acts 2:42 Ministries International Store first. One restriction is that Amazon will not pay me for any item that is purchased for me. So, if you want to buy me something from my wishlist, please just use the wishlist link (this also will keep the wishlist updated with purchases that have already been made). Also, I do not receive any fee for purchases made from the Amazon Marketplace. You can still order through my links and Amazon will credit my account for the part of your purchase that is eligible for the referral fee.
Buy from Christianbook.com using my links – If you buy from Christianbook.com using the links on this website, you will get the same prices and service you would get if you ordered without going through my links. However, when you buy through my links, Christianbook.com will give me a commission on the sale. I need your help to ensure that my links generate at least $313 in sales annually to maintain my affiliate relationship with Christianbook.com.
Hosting Partners (San Antonio, TX)
During my trips back to the States, I will need a place to stay in San Antonio. I will likely be in the States for two to four weeks, but not necessarily in San Antonio the entire time. If you would like to be a hosting partner by providing housing for one or more nights, please submit a contact form, and I will get in touch with you as I begin planning each trip. I fully understand there will be times when you will not be able to provide housing, and I am not asking anyone to commit to always providing housing.
Hands-on Ministry Partners (Honduras)
Honduras is in Central America and borders Nicaragua, El Salvador, and Guatemala. With a per capita income of approximately $3100 per year, Honduras is one of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere. One out of five people cannot read. If you, your family, friends, or other group would like to spend a few days to a few weeks serving the Lord with the people of Tegucigalpa, please fill out and submit a contact form, so we can discuss possible projects with which you can help. I will make every effort to provide opportunities for people who do not speak Spanish.
