Yesterday afternoon, I was informed that my application for missionary service with The Foundation of Saint Peter has been accepted. This is great news. I will still be working with the Iglesia Misionera de Cristo in Tegucigalpa. My association with The Foundation will enable me to receive tax-deductible contributions, by check or online. I will be updating my website and business cards shortly.
Time is so inconsistent. It seems to fly by, but at the same time, it seems to stand still. It’s March already. I have only 38 days left in Costa Rica, and only 20 of those are class days. I learned a lot of Spanish since August, but I know I have much more to learn. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but I am ready to leave.
I am very much looking forward to six weeks in the U.S. and then returning to Tegucigalpa at the end of May to get to work! In the meantime, I have more Spanish to learn, multiple tax returns to prepare, multiple web pages to update, and an apartment to clean and move out of.
I am still in need of a car from May 8-28. If you live in San Antonio and have a car that I can borrow for part or all of that time, please send me an email.
I thank you all for your prayers and ask that you continue to pray for God’s guidance and protection as I prepare for and embark upon the mission to which He has called me.
I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me. -Romans 15:30 (NIV)
