In case you haven’t guessed, life is pretty busy for me right now. Time seems to be flying by. I know it’s actually going by at the same rate it always has, but it sure doesn’t seem that way!
Work is going well. I spent last week in Iowa with the rest of my group. It was a good, productive week. This week was less productive, due to a vacation day on Monday, a physical exam on Wednesday, and a CT scan on Friday. I had received a phone call last Friday from my doctor’s office regarding my chest X-ray that I’d had done on Oct. 1. It shows some scarring on the left lung. While my doctor assumes it’s from my radiation therapy last year, she wants to make sure there isn’t anything else going on. During my physical exam, she felt a nodule on my thyroid, so she said I need to get a thyroid ultrasound and scan. That will be done Nov. 3 and 4. This will seriously cut into my work time again, but there won’t be any needles! 🙂
The CT scan yesterday was no big deal, but I waited about two hours, and the tech had to stick me twice to get the catheter into my arm for the contrast iodine. I don’t think I’ve ever waited so long for any medical appointment. I don’t know if such a long wait time is typical at the imaging center I went to, but I will avoid going there in the future, just in case. 🙂
Please pray for God’s will to be done as I await the results of these tests.
I know everyone’s wondering what’s going to happen with the economy and the election. Remember that God is in control. The treasure you store up in heaven cannot be devoured by inflation or stock market crashes or anything else. Someday, all of our material possessions will be burned up. They’re all temporary, some more so than others. Our Father knows what we need and will ensure our needs are met.
Have a blessed and Christ-centered week!
