I hope you’ve all had a good Labor Day weekend. I finally managed to get my yard mowed (in its entirety, not just a piece)! It was badly in need of mowing. Consequently, it took much longer than usual. It does look much better, and I found the plastic trash can that blew away several weeks ago. It had been in front of the house, so thought it must have blown down the street. Today, I discovered it blew into the back yard and ended up in the treeline at the end of my lot, where I couldn’t see it.
I received my Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certificate in the mail on Friday. I had received an email notice the week before saying that the CISA Board had approved my application. That happened sooner than I was expecting. It’s good through Dec 31, 2012. I need to earn an average of 40 continuing education credits every year, starting Jan 1, 2009. I can count anything I earn this year toward next year’s requirement, which is a good thing, since I got something like 18 hours for attending the CISA review course in the Spring.
I spent quite a bit of time working on my Seeking the Kingdom site this week. I had not planned on that, but someone was nice enough to send me a note to let me know the podcasting feature wasn’t working. It turned out to be a very simple fix, but it took me a long time to find the problem. I also spent some time trying to simplify the navigation, but I don’t like what I ended up with, so I’m still working on that.
The Gospel of John study guide is progressing, but not as quickly as I’d like. I’m hoping to be able to use my lunch hour every day this week to get a little work done on it, in addition to some evening work. I know retirement day is several years away, but I do look forward to it, so I can spend all day whenever I want to just writing!
I think that’s about it for now. I need to get ready for tomorrow. It’s work time again! 🙂
Have a blessed and Christ-centered week!
