Update – 8/30/07

30 Aug

Last week marked 4 months since I completed radiation therapy. Today, I had my second follow-up visit with my surgeon. He was very pleased, and said, “this feels like one year out, not 4 months.” He couldn’t find any lumps in either breast and checked my lymph nodes, too. I have a clean bill of health! Well, except for my recovering hamstring muscle and arthritic knee. Oooh, I’m not used to saying that (isn’t arthritis for old people?). 🙂 My hamstring is not at 100% yet, but it’s pretty close, except for going up the stairs. Of course, I’m avoiding stairs because of my knee, so that’s not a big problem for my hamstring. I take the elevator at work, and when I have no choice, I just take the steps one at a time. If the steps aren’t very high, I can walk down OK, but for most steps, I have to take them one at a time. A nusiance, but it doesn’t hurt that way. All things considered, I’m doing quite well!

Thanks for your prayers. Please pray that I will recognize God’s hand in my life and will follow Him wherever He wants me to go.

May God bless you all! Have a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend.
