Update – 6/12/07

12 Jun

Well, folks, you may recall I had a colonoscopy on June 1. Today, I received the good news that there was no sign of cancer in either of the two small polyps that were removed. I was hoping not to do this again for another five years, but I received a letter from the doctor today that says I need to come back in three years. The procedure itself was quite alright, but I was hoping not to have to do the preparation for another five years. That was the rather unpleasant part. Oh, well. I’ve certainly been through worse things than that!

Brenda and I started training for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer last week. We have about 10 months to get ready to walk a 1/2 marathon on Saturday morning, followed by another 1/2 marathon the next day in Houston. I’ll be writing more about this after the fundraising website is up, which is taking longer than I was expecting.

I think that’s it for now. Have a blessed week! Go Spurs! 🙂
