Update – 5/20/07

20 May

Just a quick update on my progress. I had my first follow-up visit with my surgeon on Thursday. He told me my skin looks like I’ve been out of treatment for 6 months, not 3 weeks! When I mentioned I have just a little bit of tenderness below the lymph node scar, he said it would be typical to have a lot of tenderness for a couple of months. So, I’m doing great!

As I’ve said before, I serve a big God, and He can do whatever He wants, however He chooses to do it. In this case, He has chosen to touch me with His hand of protection and healing. God has positively answered your prayers that I would have minimal side effects from the therapy. Thank you all for those prayers.

On Tuesday, I will see my gynecologist. This will be the first time I’ve seen her since she called to give me the biopsy results.

That’s it for now. I seem to be getting farther behind on my list of things I need to do, but I will finish the writing I started a couple of weeks ago. I have a 3-day weekend coming up, so I’m hoping to spend part of that time writing.

May God bless you all as you strive to do His will. Have a blessed week!
